ACDS Student Council represents the students’ voice at Alexandria Country Day School.
It is designed to promote better student-teacher relationships, provide students an active voice in student government, promote participation is school activities and school unity, sponsor projects that will provide funds to be used in purchasing needed items for the school, and to assume responsibility for school dances.
The ACDS Student Council helps share student ideas and interests. they often also help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects, and helping people in need. Students that are involved will encourage school spirit, learn skills of public speaking and how school governent is organized, all while promoting philanthropy. Elections are held at the end of each school year, for officers for the following year.
Students in grades 6th through 8th may run for office for the Student Council.
